While Gibberish can be used offline, I’d suggest giving it a go with a web account.
When you sign up, you’ll have the ability to sync your posts across all your Macs, iPhones, and iPads, and actually publish your post on the web.
Gibberish Web is a subscription service. It costs $5 per month. But there’s a 2-month free trial period for you to navigate your way around, so don’t worry about your credit cards.
During the trial, all features are accessible, but with one small catch: only you can view your own blog (by signing in). After all, I’m handing out a gibber.blog subdomain, I certainly don’t want spammers to sign up and start churning out spam that’s visible to the public!
I’m not going to boast about “simplicity” as a feature. Gibberish is just a basic blogging platform. It displays a reverse-chronological list of posts that you’ve written, and it has an RSS feed.
There’s also a web client available if you’d rather use Gibberish that way. The web interface is actually quite usable on your phone.
Right now, it’s very much Web 1.0, which is probably a good thing. But I will consider adding new features in the future.
